Friesengut Langeoog

The Frisian island of Langeoog is characterized by its fascinating nature and the traditional structure of its villages, which has vanished on most other holiday islands. Its pastoral simplicity is one of the island’s main assets as an upscale tourist destination. The new development on Friesenstraße reflects the village structure while expanding the range of shops, services, and accommodation available to holidaymakers and residents alike, both on and off season. Expanding the street into a square lends the village a slightly more urban feel. Local architectural traditions are integrated into a modern design with a strong regional emphasis; after completion the ensemble will look as though it had always stood here.
