B'Ella Berlin

The Schöneberger Linse neighbourhood in Berlin's Südkreuz district is one of the areas that has undergone significant redevelopment in recent years. One of the last remaining plots of land, which was previously used by car dealers and small businesses, is now being developed into a mixed-use neighbourhood comprising five large buildings, each with a unique design. Nöfer Architekten were commissioned to design a 31,000 m² office building and two residential blocks comprising 188 flats in the northern section. This diverse neighbourhood will also include a nursery and retail units for local amenities. It will be heated by geothermal energy and will feature a lushly landscaped inner courtyard and a varied roof garden with solar panels. Residents and tenants will be able to play sports and hold events there. The architecture creates a striking and distinctive appearance, particularly in relation to the long-distance and S-Bahn railway line to the north, along which hundreds of thousands of people pass every day.
